Some activities include:

Species counts on various properties including farms and private reserves of game species such as kudu, springbok etc and various mongoose species (small grey and yellow), birds, insects and of course meerkats.

Working with wild meerkat groups and aiding in their conservation.

Idenification of various species and certain individuals of various species.

Habituation of various animals.

For those interested in domesticated animals we offer experience with various species including horses, donkeys, sheep, pigs etc, with activities varying from grooming to deworming, helping with farrier or vet visits, exercising and spending time with them (most have been abused or neglected or both and benefit hugely from people spending time with them).

No previous experience required.

NATURAL HORSE LIVERY!!!

We have limited places available for full and part time livery on our quiet farm just outside of Oudtshoorn.

Contract written to owners specifications.

Stunning views and lots of space. Lucerne grown on the farm so reduced bale costs. Rotational grazing on 37 hectares. Grazing on fresh lucerne over winter on a rotational basis. Livery contract written to owners specifications. 17 years equine experience and 18 horses and 8 donkeys of my own. People on site all day every day and daily health checks.

Please email me for more information and a copy of our basic livery contract - price varies according to what you want. Can offer - hard feed, grooming, riding tuition, riding when you are away, training, lucerne, use of our riding arena, organising farrier, dentist, vet appointments, stunning outrides etc.

We also have special contracts for laminitic horses and ponies and a retirement policy for horses and ponies that can't or won't be ridden - they will be put out to graze and just enjoybeing a horse.

Ideal for busy equine owners who need someone to keep an eye on their horse/pony without any stress - knowing that someone is there checking them daily and making sure everything is ok. I have reliable vets that will be called if needed.

We have 2 litters of MINIATURE pot bellied piglets due now, the reserve lists are full but you are more than welcome to reserve piglets just incase someone drops out. We will definitely be having future litters so if you don’t get piglets from these litters you will be first in line for the next litters!!!

Our pigs are the smallest in the Western Cape and are TRUE Miniature pot bellied pigs and grow no taller than 36cm at the shoulder when fully grown. They are not starved or given an energy deficient diet to keep them small as with some breeders, they are natural miniatures! A true rarity and a pleasure to love, take care of and nurture!

We insist that our piglets be rehomed in pairs as they adapt more easily and bond more quickly with their new family if they are in pairs and they are happier healthier pigs! It is also very entertaining and rewarding for their new family to watch them sleeping and playing together :-)
 
Looking after 2 pigs is no harder or more time consuming than looking after 1 and they truly are a lot happier with a  piggy companion!

Neutering of all piglets is strongly recommended as neutered pets are less likely to have certain types of cancer and wont have hormonal ‘mood swings’ when they reach puberty. Neutered pets in general live a longer, healthier life than un-neutered pets.

The father is black with a white patch on his face and white legs and the 2 females - one is pink with a few small black spots and the other is black with white legs.

They make excellent house pets - easy to house train etc. They come with a booklet about their care etc.

They must be kept as pets!

They are very friendly and sociable and love to be stroked and petted.
